Parallel hill folds are formed by the folding of rock layers in a parallel manner, creating a series of ridges and valleys that run parallel to each other. These landforms are typically found in regions with strong tectonic activity, such as mountain ranges and areas with active faulting. The folding of the rock layers is often the result of compressional forces, which cause the layers to bend and fold in a parallel fashion, creating the characteristic ridges and valleys of parallel hill folds. **
