Sexism can often be perpetuated through humor by reinforcing stereotypes and demeaning attitudes towards a particular gender. Jokes that rely on sexist tropes or objectify individuals can contribute to a culture that normalizes discrimination and inequality. There is some evidence to suggest that there is a connection between humor and intelligence. Studies have shown that individuals with higher levels of intelligence tend to have a greater appreciation for and understanding of humor. This may be because humor often involves making connections between seemingly unrelated ideas or concepts, which requires cognitive flexibility and creativity, both of which are associated with higher intelligence. Additionally, individuals with higher intelligence may be better able to understand and appreciate the nuances and complexities of humor. **
