The Minecraft Beacon does not work with Haste because Haste is already a status effect that can be obtained through other means, such as consuming a Haste potion or using a Haste enchanted tool. The Beacon provides a range of other beneficial effects, such as increased speed, jump boost, resistance, and regeneration, but Haste is not included in its list of available effects. This limitation is likely in place to balance the gameplay and prevent players from having an overpowered combination of effects from the Beacon. **
