It is important to verify the accuracy of such claims before drawing conclusions. If the claim is true, it would be concerning as it could be seen as inappropriate to involve elementary school students in political campaigning. The CDU is suddenly campaigning against the phase-out of nuclear energy because they believe it is necessary for ensuring energy security and reducing carbon emissions. With the increasing focus on climate change and the need for sustainable energy sources, the CDU sees nuclear energy as a reliable and low-carbon option. Additionally, they may be responding to the energy crisis in Europe, particularly in light of the conflict in Ukraine and concerns about gas supplies from Russia. The CDU's shift in stance may also be influenced by the need to address rising energy costs and the potential impact on the economy. **

The constant election campaigning can complicate the work of the federal government by diverting attention and resources away from governing and towards campaigning activities. Elected officials may prioritize short-term political gains over long-term policy solutions, leading to gridlock and inefficiency in decision-making. Additionally, the focus on campaigning can create a polarized political environment, making it challenging to find common ground and pass bipartisan legislation. Overall, the constant election campaigning can hinder the government's ability to effectively address pressing issues and serve the needs of the public. **
