A mogul slope is prepared by allowing the snow to naturally accumulate and then shaping it into large, irregular bumps known as moguls. These moguls are created by grooming the slope with a snowcat or other equipment to push the snow into mounds. The slope is then left to set and harden, creating the challenging terrain that is characteristic of mogul skiing. Skiers can further shape the moguls as they ski down the slope, creating new bumps and lines. **
